The Howie Hawkins/Angela Walker campaign for Green Party President and Vice President have followed write-in procedures to be officially recognized according to the Code of Virginia: https://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/title24.2/chapter6/section24.2-644/

The VA Department of Elections verified today that writing in either ‘Howie’ or ‘Howard’ Hawkins will count as a vote for both Howie for President and Angela for Vice President.

In addition, write-in votes in VA will count toward Green Party national totals with the goal of reaching or exceeding 5% of the popular vote, which would build power going forward for automatic ballot access and up to $20 million in public funding.

Howie Hawkins is the only corporate-free choice in Virginia and nationally, and the only Presidential campaign representing majority supported policies for the people like Medicare For All, a demilitarized, ‘full strength’ Green New Deal with jobs guarantees and just transition for fossil fuel as well as insurance workers, legalization of marijuana, living wages and student debt forgiveness.
